This German band released "The Files You Have on Me" in March of 2003, successfully combining elements of different rock genres into their music. "The Files You Have on Me", Waterdown’s second album, starts out with an explosive track titled "Bulletproof". The song shows Waterdown’s versatility, with heavy metal guitars, aggressive drums, melodic interludes and angry hardcore vocals. The band’s two vocalists, Marcel Bischoff and Ingo Reiser, showcase their distinct styles of singing in the song "A Fortress," reflecting Waterdown’s ability to mesh different styles and make it their own genre. Waterdown switches into a calmer gear with "Xerox." This song, along with "Nails All Broken Short," have poetic lyrics and beautiful vocals. Other songs, like "Transient" and "Decaffeinated," reveal a greater punk influence. All of the songs have different arrangements, as a result of the blend of different rock genres, making the album a triumphant endeavor in expanding musically.
