To be honest I was really excited to buy this CD, and after listening to less than half of it, I had to shut it off. The songs, lyrically, are fucking amazing but when I listened to them, I was thoroughly disappointed at the way they were put together. I think I was disappointed for the simple fact that almost all of the songs sound the same! I'm sorry, but The Used were definitely overrated. Although I must admit I am a sucker for the most popular song on the CD, 'The Taste Of Ink', its catchy unlike the rest of it. This CD isn't all bad, I don't mind Bert's voice, but there's only so much of it I can handle without wanting to go outside, naked and dancing, in the middle of a lightening storm with a long, metal stick. There are a few decent songs on this CD ('Maybe Memories', 'The Taste Of Ink', and 'A Box Full Of Sharp Objects'), and the ones that I do like, I love, but the ones that I don't like, I can't even listen to. I wish I had bought something else, something like...Link 80? Don't get me wrong, I like the Used, they're not bad, and they put out a good live show, but this CD wasn't as good as I had hoped and if you are looking to buy a CD with a bunch of songs that sound the same, this CD is for you! If you want something different, and more original, don't buy this CD!
