Some Kind of Hate, a band with Boston roots, released the volatile "Undisputed" in 2003. "Undisputed" is a great example of the straightedge hardcore genre. The brief album is dominated by purely aggressive vocals, heavy guitars, and harsh drums. The discordant sounds reflect the anger and frustration of the lyrics: "Kiss my ass for all I care, I’ll never be like you." The album detonates with "Desperate Like the Rest of Them," an unmerciful song full of flagrant hardcore elements. With choppy yet simple arrangements, "Fuck these People" is a fierce song with rough vocals. The singer, Matt Pike, is perfect for this hardcore punk genre. The album swiftly leads into increasingly angrier songs, never straying from their influences, which consists of early 80’s Boston and late 80’s New York hardcore.Straightforward and angry, Some Kind of Hate has created a gritty, undeniably hardcore album with "Undisputed".
