Where were you on the night of July 29th, 2003? I just happened to be rockin' out at The Masonic Building in East Longmeadow. The lineup that nite was No Intention, Another Lecture, Dangerously Happy, The Vermin, The Prozacs, and...HONKEY DOREY! Now most of you probably don't have a clue about these bands. But they kick some serious ass, even though the show itself was kind of lacking. To start off No Intention played. I've seen them once before and they're okay. I didn't even bother watching them this time though (um... I'd say sorry but I'd be lying). Next was Another Lecture. They usually are really kickin', but Adam (voice box and guitar) was sick. Fortunately they have two guitarists, but unfortunately, no one else in that group can match his awesome vocals. Not to mention they have a new cover song, and it's by Good Charlotte, and I don't even know where to being with my disgust for that band. But Haley and her friends were supposed to be "guest vocals" for it. Ohhhhhh boy. Good stuff. It was really entertaining (sucked, sorry Haley, but really entertaining). They all messed up the words and ended up walking off stage about a minute into the song. I was amused. Next Dangerously Happy played. They're usually good too. But the guitarist's (Jesse is his name) cords were fucked up then some other stuff happened and the guitar wasn't right. I don't know, I don't have a clue about that stuff. Then they didn't play Blister In The Sun... I was disappointed, but it's okay. By this time I started realizing that no one was gunna be coming. The Honkey show at The Shed was awesome... so many people came. Fer this one though (the second show since their reformation) the crowd sucked. You couldn't mosh because there wasn't enough people to make a pit. Some kids did mosh though, but it sucked. Then The Vermin came on. They made me wet my self (almost). The one and ONLY draw back about them was that they're from Ohio. They were so awesome though. It was Screeching Weasel style shit, and that makes me happy. After them it was The Prozacs. I think they're awesome. Especially when they cover Screeching Weasel. Anyone who likes Screeching Weasel has a place in my heart. Ohhh yes. There was this funny old man at the show too. And he was dancing really oddly and it was humorous. Apparently he's the owner of the link to rock website . It was funny stuff. And of course Honkey Dorey played last. Honkey Dorey is so awesome. Their set list could have been better though, and they didn't really play a lot of songs. But they still rocked well. Over all the night was somewhat of a disappointment. It kinda sucks that I spent 5 dollars on it. But at the same time it was Honkey Dorey, and they're awesome
