Date: October 12, 2002
Location: House Of Blues - Anaheim, CA
Bands: Mest, Madcap, Catch 22, Home Grown

This was a very good show. Before the show I was able to meet with all the boys of Mest and get an autograph and picture. I also had a conversation with some guy that I later found out was from Madcap. Bad on my part; I could've gotten an autograph. This show was at House of Blues in Anaheim, California, on Downtown Disney, directly next to the Disneyland Resort. Before the 8 o'clock show, my friend Steph and I and our moms went to Disneyland for a little while. It was kind of a bad idea after about half of the show since our feet started to hurt really bad. The House of Blues is a pretty small venue, so the mosh pit wasn’t as large here. There was alcohol served at this show, so there was a lot of drunk people at this show. There wasn’t really a mosh pit during the Madcap set. They put on an OK show though. Catch-22 sounded a lot like Reel Big Fish, I really like RBF, but Catch just didn’t click in my mind. They put on show though. Homegrown did a great show. I am a big HG fan, and I was glad they put on a good show. They played great songs, including one of their first songs, Surfer Girl, which is my favorite. They put on a great show, and it was worth my money right there. Mest's set was very good. The mosh pit was near perfect during this set. There wasn’t much of a circle pit, since there really wasn't much room in this venue. . But there was still room for the normal mosh pit 'thing'. They played all their good songs, and I ended up with Jeremiah's guitar pick. Overall this was a pretty good show, and well worth the 0 I paid for it.
