With their second full length from Jive Records, produced by Butch Walker (Sr-71, Lit). This album definitly falls under one of my top five favorites. Although the lyrics are of your typical "we broke up and I still miss you" variey, they've got a pop-punk edge with lines like "you make me want to go homosexual" and "so I got drunk and had sex with all your friends". Their single "Girl All The Bad Guys Want", is sure to make you smile. They proudly poke fun at music such as Limp Bizkit with the lyric of "listening to Rap-Metal, turntables in her eyes". The CD also looks at the typical source of anger among today's artists with "her cd changer's full of singers that are mad at their dad"... and the classic male related line "all I wanted was to see her naked..." They give a different approach to breaking up with "Life after Lisa" and "Emily". This is definitly an album that anyone who's gone through any sort of relationship can relate too and listen to proudly. If you like bands such as SR-71, and Homegrown, be sure to give Bowling For Soup a chance.
